Meet the Directors
Head Coach Gary Glassman is now in
his 11th season at Stony Brook. He has made great strides with both
the men's and women's tennis programs, transforming his teams into
consistent contenders for the America East Championship. During his
tenure at Stony Brook, Glassman's players have been named
All-America East a total of 45 times. Excellence in the classroom as
well as on the court is stressed by Coach Glassman, demonstrated by
the continuous recognition his teams receive for academic
excellence. Stony Brook players have earned a total of 53 ITA
All-Academic Team awards. Coach Glassman enjoys working with players
on the court and is especially excited to be working with 4 Star
this summer.
Assistant Coach Justin Drzal is
back for a 7th season as an assistant coach at Stony Brook and is
back working with 4 Star Camps. Prior to joining the Stony Brook
staff, Drzal was the assistant women's tennis coach at the
University of Virginia from 1998 - 2001. While at Virginia, he
received the ITA Assistant Coach of the Year Award for the East
Region, and helped the Cavaliers to back-to-back 13-10 records.
Coach Drzal, a long time member of the 4 Star family, directed our
